Crayons

Lately it has been becoming more and more obvious to me that my classroom has a never ending supply of crayons! I was very lucky to have been left with a TON of supplies by the teacher who had my classroom before me. I'm very thankful for that! However, I've been thinking to myself... what in the world am I going to do with all of these crayons. They just keep bringing them, every year! So, you can imagine my excitement when I found this super cute idea on Clean Mama's Blog.

Here's a fun idea for your old, broken crayons that your students (or kids) don't think are good enough to use anymore... :)

Separate your broken, old crayons into 3 categories- warm colors, cool colors, and neutrals.
(Warm colors: reds, yellows, oranges)
(Cool colors: greens, blues, violets)
(Neutrals: browns, greys, white, black)

Peel off paper and break crayons into pieces.

Spray muffin pan with non-stick vegetable spray and put the crayons in the muffin cups.

Place muffin pan in a 275 degree oven for 11 to 12 minutes. When finished- cool on counter for a couple of minutes, and then put the muffin tin in the freezer to ease them out of the pan.

Happy coloring! I think my kids are going to love these!
